ａ.Kanayamayaki purchases a large amount of kiln materials such as refractory bricks, so purchasing costs can be reduced. In addition, by using a method that does not require special skills to assemble the kiln, there is no cost of installation at all.
Ｑ２.Can the roof fall apart without the use of glue?
ａ.In kilns that handle high temperatures, refractory arch bricks are used for the ceiling. Arch bricks are wedge-shaped, and there are Y1~Y3 types, and the angle becomes stronger as the number increases. In our experiments, there was no problem at all when a load of 200 kg was applied to the roof.
Ｑ３.What is a refractory brick?
ａ.Refractory bricks are used in blast furnaces and kilns for firing pottery. It is hard and has excellent fire resistance, and the refractory temperature SK32~36 is labeled. 32 has a regular fire resistance capacity of more than 1350°C. The maximum temperature of the pizza oven is about 800°C, so it can be said that the fire resistance is more than sufficient.
Ｑ４.Can move it?
ａ.『pizza & BBQ kiln』We have developed it with one goal that it can be easily assembled, transformed, and dismantled in about 30 minutes. Since it is only the steel frame and bricks, it is recommended to move it in a dismantled state.
Ｑ５. What is the fuel?
ａ.It can be firewood or charcoal. Refractory bricks are not easy to heat up and not easy to cool. The standard temperature increase is about 1 hour for firewood and 45 minutes for charcoal, and the temperature of the brick will be about 300°C.
Ｑ６.How do I store it when not in use?
ａ.Bricks and frames are perfectly fine in the face of wind and rain, but if they are installed outdoors for a long time, it is better to dismantle them and easily cover them with a sheet. Please store accessories indoors.
Ｑ７.Isn’t it difficult to assemble with a weight of 420 kg?
ａ.The heaviest single item is an iron frame, which weighs about 20 kg. Each brick weighs 3.5 kg, so it can be done in the same way as a block of wood.
Ｑ８.Can it be fixed?
ａ.In high-temperature kilns, refractory mortar similar to bricks is used to bond refractory bricks, but in pizza ovens, ordinary cement is sufficient. When using cement, mix 2 parts sand in a ratio of 1 to 1 part cement, moisten the bricks, and then use a very thin mortar of about 1~2 mm.
Ｑ９.Can I use it indoors?
ａ.It is designed for outdoor use with the idea of using it as aBBQ kiln. Of course, it can be used indoors, but it must be fixed and a chimney for exhaust. We have prepared chimney mounting parts (about 10,000 yen) sold separately.
Ｑ10.Does it leave a smell after using it for barbecue?
ａ.For baking pizza, the temperature is raised at a temperature of 700~800°C for about 1 hour. At this time, all the remaining oil will be burned, so there is no problem.
