Good evening everyone! ¡¡¡( •̀ ᴗ •́ )و!!!
Happy happy new year! I hope everyone had a great new year celebration! This blog is for Tuesday’s entry.
(I can not access the internet that’s why I’m uploading it on a Thursday. My apologies.)
The start of Kanayama’s New Year is very busy! Last January 04, 2016 we unloaded two kilns.
5-Chambered Kiln and 2-Chambered kiln.
Here are some photos of the glazed works from the 2-Chambered kiln.
The photos above are Rice straw ash glazes,
while the photo on the left side is Apple ash
glaze works.
Below are some of my test pieces. Sir John Baymore suggested to me that I could make glaze inlay with this particular ceramic design. (The plate has deep texture that can be filled with glaze)
Here are the orton cones per shelf from the 2nd chamber.
Well, like I said Kanayama started the new year with many challenges!
For me also, I have to continue making the cloudy plate and also another version of the cloudy plate (smaller size).
That’s it!
Until next time!
